Ruth Elizabeth Namutebi
Ruth Elizabeth Namutebi also known as Madam Architect is a 30yr old Aspiring Student Architect pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture at the International University of East Africa – Kansanga upon acquiring a scholarship having gained 7 years of experience in the same field as a Draftsman.
She has worked with reputable companies making her capable of architectural designs, hands-on drafting and site investigations. She runs a startup named REN Architects and Engineers dealers in Prefabricated – plastic waste Architecture which participated in a business competition and won a grant.
Ruth is an alumnus of a 6 months mentorship program called “The Mentorship Class” in which she formerly doubled as the Head Coach for the recent cohort having been appointed.
She is also a Stanbic Business Incubator alumnus, the Tony Elumelu Foundation alongside the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs which are enterprise development programs that help young business entrepreneurs and start-ups kick off. In 2021, She graduated as a seamstress in a fabrics and textiles class at MOTIV.
She is also a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Advocate making her an Awardee Peer Educator with Reach a Uganda for the past
2 years to date and based on that she lobbied for a bill on the floor of parliament concerning teenage pregnancies in September 2022. This makes her a National Youth Representative for central region in the Parliament of Uganda.
She is passionate about motivational speaking and HIV/AIDS advocacy driven by the need and desire to help people living with HIV/AIDS under a non-profit organization she founded named Daria Kayitesi Safe Space having been born HIV positive and endured stigma and as means of generating income to facilitate the NGO, she ventured into watermelon farming being the Organization’s backbone.
In addition, she has helped build, groom and nurture three (3) start-up Non-Profit Organizations that’s to say Exulansis Uganda (Mental Health NGO), Spreading Wings International (Charity NGO) and Fearless Smiles of Hope Foundation (Sickle cell NGO)
Ruth came to the spotlight in a bid to acquire an academic scholarship to further her studies after being stigmatized based on her status and ended up moving from one media house to another. She is only a click away from Google as there are so many articles that have been published about her alongside YouTube videos from various TV stations.
